HIKURANGI MINE. — i (Special to “Star.") AUCKLAND, November 29. The Hikurangi Coal Mine (Whangarei) has now been unwatered, the bottom of the shaft having now been uncovered. This will enable the motors of the six and nine-inch pumps to be recovered and moved to another position in the mine, for which’purpose a short tramway is to be paid. The Company should soon be in a position to start breaking but coal to supply the railways in the North, and also ordinary customers. CHCH. PROPERTY DEAL. CHRISTCHURCH, November 28. At Bradford, the International Wool Conference passed a resolution that governments throughout the world be approached to allow five per cent, rayon or silk contents in wool fabrics without increase of duties. It was also decided that the duration of credit on raw' wool tops and yarn should not exceed six months. If special circumstances require extensions, the case must be reported to the International Wool Federation.
