Mrs H. Nankervis, of Wellington, is on a visit to Greymouth. The death is announced from London of Mr J. Saxon Mills, author and journalist. Mr L. W. Louis son, Clerk of the Court at Greymouth, ; is at present on holiday, and is visiting Nelson. Rev. Dean Julius will visit the Coast this week-end. He will proceed to Ross next week to induct the Rev. Mr Wairen as Vicar. Hon. N. E. A?" Dunning, Canadian Minister of Railways, has been sworn in as Minister of Finance in succession to the late Hon. J. A. Robb. Recent arrivals at the Albion Hotel include Mr H. J. Petch (Christchurch), Mr R. McGillivray (Christchurch), Mr R. W. Parsons (Auckland). Mr H. T. H. Grave, fire insurance adjustor, who has been on a visit to Greymouth, left this morning for Christchurch. Mrs Clarke and Miss J. Clarke (Shakespeare Street) left this morning for Canterbury, on an extended holiday. ,
Mr H. L. Gibson, railway transport officer, returned to Christchurch today, after having made an official visit to the Coast.
The death occurred to-day, at Timaru, of Miss Mary Browne, late of Kumara, and sister of Mr Frederick Browne, of Greymouth.
Lieutenant J. A. Moore and Ser-geant-Majors L., R. Shuttleworth and A. Johnston, of the Greymouth Defence Office, left this morning to attend Staff camp at Burnham.
Constable M. Conway, of Blackball, left for Otago on Tuesday on annual leave, accompanied by Mrs Conway. Constable J. A. Paddy, of Greymouth, is on relieving duty at Blackball.
The funeral of the late Mrs Mary Lynn took place this morning at Karoro Cemetery. Rev. Father Holohan conducted the services 'at St. Patrick’s Church and at the graveside.
The death is announced from Auckland of Mr H. Moon, aged 54 years, head master of Mangere East School, and a former President of the Auckland Branch of the Educational Institute.

Prayers are being offered throughout the diocese (telegraphed our Auckland correspondent) for the recovery of Bishop Cleary, who is seriously ill in Mater Misericordiae Hospital. There is a slight improvement in his condition to-day.
