TO-MORROW’S FOOTBALL
rugby union games. A fine Rugby fixture list has been arranged for to-morrow. The big draw will be the Coast v. Buller representative game, to be played at 3 p.m. on Victoria Park. This is a return game, and should be the best seen in Greymouth so far this season. Both provinces have strong fifteens, adaptable to any conditions, and an exceptionally hard and even game is predicted. Two of the big junior fixtures of the season will be played at 1.30. Cobden and Ross, champion junior fifteens m the North and South divisions respectfully. Ross is considered in the south too good for the junior grade, and should give Cobden a close call for a victory. Both sides have been playing consistently good Rugby during the season. Greymouth junior reps, and Rover juniors (from Granity) will also play at the Park on the B. ground, and this game should be interesting. ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL. The Association football representative game for the Peter Dawson Cup, between Canterbury (challengers) and Coast (holders), will be played to-mor-row on the Recreation ground. The game, the local Association’s biggest draw this season, has aroused the keenest interest both in Canterbury and Westland. A big crowd of barrackers from Christchurch have notified their intention to see the game. Both provinces are fielding strong fast combinations and the game is expected to be productive of some very fine soccer. Kick off is at 3 p.m. LEAGUE GAME.
An important Rugby League game is scheduled for to-morrow, when the West Coast and Canterbury schoolboy reps, will play for the Norman Cox Memorial Cup, the schools’ championship of the South Island. The game will be played. on the Cobden ground and will start at 2.45 p.m.
