DUNEDIN HOSPITAL
DR IVERACH’S RESIGNATION.:
DUNEDIN, June 26. At the Hospital Board meeting today Dr Iverach , assistant medical officer, forwarded his resignation owing to his having to leave New Zealand under the terms of the travelling scholarship held by him. Dr Newlands, a member of the Boaid, said he thought it was only fair to say that, although the Board regretfully had to pass some adverse comment on DU Iverach in connection with the recent sad case, that was quite an unusidil feature with regard to their experience of his work in the Hospital. Dr Iverach was the travelling scholar —the best man of his year in medicine. All the medical men who went into the Hospital had found Dr Iverach courteous, helpful, and obliging. Dr Newlands said he was sure that no one regretted more than the members of the Board that they had had to say that Dr Iverach had not quite fulfilled his duties. Th* Chairman : It was not only on the one occasion. Dr Newlands: The sole occasion. It was decided to accept the resignation with regret, and to inform Dr Iverach that the members of the Board ivisVd him every success in his future studies.
