CHRISTCHURCH, This Day

In connection with the suitability of New Zealand timbers for paper making it is pointed out that tho New Zealand Pulp ami Paper Coy, which holds a lease of large timber reserves on the West Coast, some time ago sifif a large quantity of different timbers from there to London, in charge of one of. their representatives. This was made up into about 12 rolls of newsprint of splendid qualit/y, somb of which wa.s used by the Christchurch Press Cor. with excellent results. There is therefore no doubt of the suitability of New Zealand timber for the manufacture of newsprint paper.
