The. Minister of Public Works has advised that the headings at the Otira Tunnel are now actxially joined xip most satisfactorily, reflecting great credit on the engineers, whose work approaches a record for accuracy of alignment, being only out threequarters of an inch. The levels differed only one inch and an eighth, and the chainage thirtysix inches.
