Mr- Auld proposed that a sub committee consisting of Messrs J. Patterson, Carroll. Dc Toitrette and Auld be appointed to discuss this and other matters relative to the Cadies’ timid. Seconded by Mr. River:-, at id carried. Mr- I. Patterson moved Unit the Treasurer be empowered to pay stieh sum of money to the Cadies Committee as the sub-eominiUee shall decide, after consultation with the ladies. - Seconded Jby Mr. Dunn and carried. Messrs Cohen and Sherlock were appointed to act as doorkeepers lor die social on Thursday next, and Mr. J. Patterson the week following. From I Tide r-Sccret ary, i department of Internal Affairs, acknowledging two payments of ,£lo to New Zealand Comforts Fund and Tit) for New Zealand Red Cror.M Fund, to be forwarded to Egypt for .sick and wounded soldiers there.- Received.
