TO THE ELECTORS OF THE BOROUGH OF GREY MOUTH. Ladies and Gentlemen, — AT the request of a number of the electors of the Borough, I am a Candidate for the Mayoral Chair at the election to be held on the 29th inst, and respectfully seek your support. Having served nearly nine years as Councillor, I may reasonably claim to have a fair knowledge of tire affairs of the Borough and its requirements. Being amongst the largest ratepayers it will be ray aim to see that your affairs are carefully administered. In view of the urgency of the Cobden Bridge re-construction the financial position of the Borough precludes any further loan expenditure for some time to come, but I hope to be able to show you, if elected, that without in any way curtailing, but rather enhancing the efficiency of the water works especially, a very considerable saving can be off; ctcd and turn what is now, and has been for three years, a serious loss into a very fair profit. The matter of swimming baths will have my heartiest support, as I believe they will be very beneficial and can be made self-supporting. In this connection I am only too pleased to do all that I can to advance the interests of clean legitimate sport.

Yours faithfully, DAVID TENNENT, Greymouth, April 23rd, ISI4. POLLING BOOTHS Town Hall, State School, B lake town School Gymnasium. J£EWA pRJVATE J.JOSPITAL AND JJOMC SHAKEPEARE ST., GREYMOUTH. E.
