General Sir lan Hamilton left Mel bourne by the s.s. Moeraki for' Bluff ; where be will arrive on .Monday.
Mr Fred Gilbert, who was injured during one of the trots at the Reefton races yesterday, was admitted to the Greymouth Hospital last evening, when it was found that his chest had been badly •crushed. To-day’s reports are of a favorable character.
The marriage of Miss Nellie Stewart Sim, only daughter of Mr J. S. Sim, of Fendalton, to Mr Percy Oscar Oliffe, relieving accountant in the Bank of New South Wales, Greymouth, and youngest son of J. B. Oliffe, J.P., Sydney, took place at the Church of St. Mary on Easter Monday, the ceremony being performed by the Rev. Father P. J. Hoare. After the ceremony the bridal party drove to the residence of the bride’s parents, where a reception was held, several toasts being proposed and duly honored. Subsequently ,Mr and Mrs Gliffe left for their future home in Greymouth. The wedding was an exceedingly quiet one, only the relatives of both parties being present. The numerous presents were both costly and useful. The happy couple received congratulations from their friends in different parts of New Zealand wishing them every happiness, good health, and prosperity.
