■lt was stated at- last night’s school committee- meeting that the wind at times is responsible for the clearing out and piling up of sand round the foundations of the Blaketown school. In some instances it was stated the piles have been exposed for ■i a depth of 2ft 6in ;sin others the sand has been piled up by the wind to a similar depth above the foundation. The visiting committee’s report recommended® that heavy soil, together with grass seed, be ■applied as-preventative measures in keep-; ihg the building from “sagging” and toi . prevent the sand round the piles from being on the move and at the mercy of the winds. .
