HOCKEY.
TRIAL MATCH. On Saturday afternoon the trial match between the A and B teani was played on Victoria Park. The playing area waa in a very bad state, the stick)' nature of the turf preventing anything in the ha--ture of a good display. Hard hitting had to be indulged in to keep the ball moving, and individual players had. a day out. The A team scored three goals to two scored by the B team, Holland, Robbie and Parfitt being responsible for the A’s goals and Duffy and Mclntosh for the B’s. The rep. team will not be finally chosen until after the next trial match.
