FIRE IN AUCKLAND.
TWO CHILDREN SEVERELY ./" BURNED. [»Y T*I,SGEAPH—PIB PEBBB AIBOCUWOK.J AUCKLAND,; This Day. A six-roomed house occupied by Mrs R< Riley, in Eden Street, Mount Eden, was destroyed by fire last night. Two neighlours, who observed the outbreak, found Mrs Riley lying on the floor of the verandah of the burning building in her night attire and in a semi-conscious state. '' She murmured that there were three children in the building and then colkipsed. ~ ■ -,' One child, a nephew of Mrs Riley, was rescued from the back room severely burned and taken to the hospitl. : Oneother little boy was found suffering, from, burns, but less severely. The third child, a little girl, escaped without injury. / Mrs Riley is suffering Beverely from shock. The origin of the fire is unknown.
