Placed horses either at Westport. or at tins meeting may be nominated for a this meeting if nominated for any event at higher class on the second day of the meeting. Such nominations may be made at any time up to ten minutes after the finish of the last race on the first day o£ this meeting. Amateur rider as denned by the Netr Zealand Rules of Trotting. Definition of local races.—A race open to horses which have been in one of the Counties of Buller, Inangahua, Westland or Grey, or any West Coast borough for at least three months immediately prior to the race and owned by residents of the said Counties or Boroughs. The committee to be sole judges of whether u horse is qualified or not. The committee reserve the right to refuse any nomination without giving any explanation.
