MR MICHEL AT KOKIRI.
- -a A SPLENDID AND ENTHUSIASTIC MEETING.
(By Arrangement.) Mr H. L. Michel addressed a splendid meeting of the Kokiri residents last evening. Mr Gaulter occupied the chair. Tlie meeting, which was a large one, accored the candidate a splendid reception, his different remarks being applauded again and again, and it was quite evident from the tone of the meeting that Mr Michel will get very solid support at this centre.
A vote of thanks was moved by Mr Thomson and seconde dbp Mr Lowe and carried amidst cheers. Mr Michel addresses the electors of -Waiuta this evening, leaving there tomorrow morning and touching different parts en route to Hokitika, where he will arrive during the afternoon.
