PRESENTATION.

TO ME. ADAM WILSON,

At the Bank of New Zealand yesterday afternoon the staff assembled in the Manager’s room to make a presentation to the accountant, Mr. Adam Wilson, on the occasion of Iris being about to join the ranks of the benedicts.

Mr. J. Ferguson, Manager of the Greymouth branch, presided and in a few well chosen phrases, conveyed to Mr. Wilson the hearty congratulations of his colleagues in the bank on the occason of his marriage next Wednesday to Miss Myra Blackmore, and wished him and his bride elect the utmost happiness in their married life. Mr. Ferguson added that Mr. Wilson had, by his earnestness and devotedness to the work of the bank gained the highest enconiums from all in a position to judge of it. He had, therefore, great pleasure in asking him to accept a small memento of'the auspicious occasion, and as a tribute, of the high esteem in which he was held by the- staff and a token of the extremely good feeling that has always prevailed between them. They felt that on such an important occasion their good wishes must assume a tangible form and he asked him to accept a very handsome silver tea sevrice.

All the members of the staff in turn added their good wishes and spoke of the good will whyh had always obtained between Mr. Wilson and the other officers.

Mr. Wilson thanked Mr. Ferguson for his kind expressions and the members of the staff for their handsome present which he would greatly prize on account of the good feeling which prompted them to give it him. AT REVINGTON’S HOTEL. The permanent boarders at Revington’s Hotel assembled on Friday afternoon to present Mr. Adam Wilson, who is to be married on Wednesday next, with a marble timepiece suitably inscribed. Mr. Tom Pollard, in making the presentation, spoke of the great regard Mr. Wilson was held in by his fellow boarders and also by the people of Greymouth generally, both officially and privately. Messrs Devenish, Ward, Denton, Fitzpatrick, Bird and Williams also expressed their appreciation of Mr. Wilson, who in reply thanked the donors for their present, which would always remind him of the pleasant times spent among them.
