Enervating Heat of Summer. The Case of Mr. M. RANDALL. (By a Napur Rtputer.) Mr. Magnus Randall was seen by our «epresentative at the former's residence in Waghorne-street, Napier. "Have you any objection to giving me the facts concerning your remarkable experience ?" "JNone whatever," replied Mr. Randall. "I am glad of the opportunity, as my testimony may come uuder the notice of some other sufferer who can derive benefit in the same manner thai? I have done." "What was your complaint P" "Well, I had so many ailment* thai I can hardly give you a definite answer; but the cause of the whole of my long sickness was through a terrible derangement of my digestive organs. I wan living in Melbourne when first attacked, and I attribute my illness to the enervating heat which prevails there every summer. My food turned on me after every meal. Everything I ate lay in a heavy, solid lump in my stomach, making me o feel dreadfully uncomfortable, and too indolent to move. Dull, oppressive pains in the chest indicated that my food was not digesting; then violent headaches came on. Xam an inveterate reader, but my eyesight w» now very bad, and the throbbing pain* in my head made reading useless, as I could not concentrate my attention oo the subject matter of a book. Sharp twitches of agony appeared under tke shoulder blades, making me very restless and irritable. I used to go home after a day'B work feeling exhausted and knocked out; but I could not sleej at night. Every morning I arose witi aching limbs, feeling more languid and depressed than the day before.. A feeling of melancholia was upon me, and X could not arouse enthusiasm for anything. My bowels were also out of Girder. I was very irregular in that re_i l • I- -i._.] e J„„„ ...ML. subsequent attacks of diarrhoea,. Tft« lower part of my right side was extremely tender, the least pressure producing great pain. I had a bad taste in my mrmth, which made everything nauseous t" die palate, although in course of time this did not prove a great hardshi —~ p had completely lost my appetite.' "How did ybu get. on without eating?" * "Very badly indeed. I • got. thinner nnd Weaker every day, and felt fatigued before I started out from home. 1 looked the picture of misery, and I felt as dejected as I looked. My face was white and. pinched,, arid my hollow cheeks showed that my constitution waa undermined with my complaint, which at length upset my nervous system to such an extent that my nerves started trembling and shaking at the least noise." "Were you in this state fery longP" "About twelve months altogether, and as I had taken a. great number of all kinds of medicines without receiving an* benefit, I began to think that my sufferings were going to last for ever." "You were apparently deceived iff that conjecture." , "I was, lam thankful to say. My habit of looking at everything readable 'accounted for my release from life-long suffering. A description of a gentleman's cure from the same distressing complaint as mine came under mynotioa through perusing a pamphlet. He waa cured by Clements Tonic after a long illness, so I thought there might be a chance for myself. I bought several bottles of Clements Tonic, and it waa the best purchase I ever made. It acted like magic on my enfeebled and debilitated system. A few dose* of Clements Tonic removed the feeling of tightness in my chest after eating (which I did very heartily after each dose), besides relieving me of the discomfort and pain in my stomach. My bowels were regulated and 'my head became clear and free from sickening aches. The excruciating agonies disappeared from my shoulders and ribs, my, nerves were soothed and toned up, and I flept splendidly and awoke refreshed and energetic. My strength came back rapidly, and my weight increased every day. I felt born anew. Clements Tonic did its work thoroughly removing every symptom of my complaint, and my health has been erand all these years since I was cured. Clements Tonic is a wonderful medicine, and my experience teaches me that it it the one remedy that can always be depended upon. In any way you like yoa may publish these facts."
