FOOTBALL NOTES.
The football match, Buller Union v. Nelson Club, played at Takaka on Saturday, resulted in a decided victory for* the Buller reps., who " dished up" the Nelson boys by 13 points (1 goal and 4 tries), to nil. The visitors played with two men short. A cup match, Golden Bay v. Collingwood, will be played on the Collingwood ground to-morrow, commencing at 3 p.m. The following players represent Collingwood : Thompson, Whitehorn, McKenna, Riloy (3), Hounsoll, Tibbie, Cottier, Pohl, Davidson, Strange, Fletcher, Ferguson, Caldwell. Emergency: Scrimgeour. Previous to the above match, two teams of lads, representing Collingwood and Takaka respectively, will try conclusions on the Collingwood ground. • v Given fine weather on Saturday, enthusiasts in football should have a good time. ,
