Cheap Jack Politician ANGRY WORDS EXCHANGED DIRTY LITTLE RAT (Au3t. and N.Z. Cable) Dublin, February 28 There were angry scenes in the Dail "lien Mr Hogan opened liis speech on the second reading of the Bill prohibiting blue shirts being worn, saving: “Senator, Lemass is a cheap jack politician and will never be anything else.” There was an uproar, Mr De Valera’s supporters shouting: “You dirty little rat!” ENGLAND PRAISED Air Hogan continued: “Give the Blue Shirts another year and blackguardism, will cease. Air De Valera, who goes round Ireland calling us traitors and accusing us of taking England's part, is primarily responsible for the breakdown of the Free State’s law, 1 have more respect for the little blackguard who raids a house in Cork than for Air De Valera. England is a great country.’ A De Valera supporter interjected : “Was.” Mr Hogan : Wliat is the use of our barking like terriers at the heels of a country with 41) million people, whose greatness is founded on respect for the law? The debate was adjourned.
