EMPIRE PICTURES FOR COLLECTORS In the affections' of British philatelists the postage stamps of tlic British Empire must ever rank first favourites; few other stamps maintain consistently their high position in the market, says a correspondent in th*> London Times. During the past 12 months collectors have been called upon to add in their albums more than 200 varieties of Empire stamps, a reduction of 30 per cent, upon the output for tli** previous year, but representing, nevertheless, about one-seventh of the world’s total.
