The Feilding Star Oroua and Kiwitea Counties’ Gazette FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 1933. TRADE LOCALLY

Feilding-’s retailers have been visited this week bv a stranger to the town whose visiting card was a large printed sheet with the heading, “Trad© Locally” and th e tail-piece, “Shop Locally.” There are. also such phrases picked out in bold type' as “Be Local Minded.” “Be Loyal to the District,” and “By I'ratling Locally you are helping to Increase the Importance of this Locality.” It is Good Stuff. We recognise- that, for we have said it and repeated it down through the years in the Star. But there is no imprint on the stronger’s visiting card. It was not printed in Feilding. We cannot, say where it was printed. But is is another invasion. Feilding is not mentioned all the way through the' lengthy bit of printing’. We wonder how many of our retailers looked for their own town’s name on the stranger’s little hill of fare with which lie hoped to cater some slogans to them ! The sign and token they should look for is : Feilding First !
