STRONG COMPETITION FINE CROSSBREDS ARE IN DEMAND A BIG CLEARANCE (Aust. and N.Z. Cable) Sydney, Sept. 27. At the wool sales 13.001 bales were offered, and 11.520 sold at auction. and 1615 privately. Aill better c-lasses of tleeee wool rnd good skirting were very firm un-.ler strong eonqietition. Inferior wools and short carbonising descriptions met with a restricted demand, and the market for them was weaker. The outstanding feature was the demand for comebacks and crossbreds, prices for finer sorts displaying a hardening tendency. with other grades firm at late rates. , Greasy merino made to 21*d alb | for seven bales from Curlewi*.
