Cable) (Received Sept. 28, 10.30 a.m.) Tampico, September 27 Disease, hunger, and thirst threaten to add to the terrors of floods and storms which on Sunday and Muik!ay brought destruction to this area. Official estimates now place the dead at oO and more than 850 injured, but it 's feared that many more bodies are buried in the ruins and the number may reach 1500. HARD TO RELIEVE Movement for food and medical supplies is uncertain owing to the disrupted rail service. At Pamico 15000 people are homeless and foodless. It is also feared that there is heavy loss of life in the Punt ilia, district. PESSIMI ST 1C REPORT General Macias director of relief work, said: “1 believe tile number of dead will never be known, as many of the bodies in sections flooded by the Panunco river flooded were undoubtedly washed opt to sea.”
