ON CANADIAN TRAIN A BANDIT SHOT HE KILLED TWO INSPECTORS (Aust. and N.Z. Cable) Winnipeg, Aug. 2-1. Two Unite! Statfs immigration officers, Inspector Boulton aiul Inspector Jones, were killed, by a. bandit on the Canadian national pa.sseuger train near Emo, Ontario, early on Sunday. The bandit was named Emery Ftrenette, of Fort Fraiieisont. Later lie was siunoounded in a farm house ajad seriously wounded by the police. HIS CONFESSION After capture- he confessed to the ssDying. He expressed isorrow declaring he had lost his job and girl, was desperate and had robbed members of the train crew but did not molest any of the passengers, many-of whom were not aware of his presence. The immigration officers were asleep ill a smoker. As they rose from a teat, Frenette opened fire killing them instantly. He made the conductor follow him through, five ears to the engine where ho robbed tlie engineer, fireman and brakenian. He then jumped from the train as it wag entering Emo. He was surrounded in a farm house hut Frenette resisted the police who set fire to the bouse, forcing him to emerge and then shot him. He died in hospital at Emo later,
