FEILDING ANGLERS
VISIT DAXNEVIRKE HATCHERIES AX ENJOYABLE OUTING A party of memlters of the Eeilding Acclimatisation Society and Anglers’ Club visited Dauuevirke- over tip week-end to inspect tile hatcheries established by the Hawke’s Bay Acclimatisation Society in that town. The party were met and entertained by the president and tmsnlters of the Dannevirke Rod and Gun Club at a most sumptuous luneheon. when matters of general interest to angleisf were discussed. After luncheon. Mr. Anderson, curator of tip. hatcheries, conducted the party through th,. sheds, explaining the methods of hatching the ova and also the care and feeding of the young fish front that stage until ready to liberate and distribute right throughout Ihe district.
Afternoon tea was supplied and a most pleasant and instructive reunion was brought to a conclusion with a hearty vote of lhanks passed by the visitors to the Dannevirke Bod and Gun Club members and Mr. Anderson.
