STOCK DESTROYED

FIRE IN MILLINER’S SHOP (Per Press Association). Cambridge, Sept. 7. At 0.10 o’clock this morning an outbreak of fire occurred in \ ictoria street in a, block of two two-storeyed concrete shops that were occupied by Airs • How den, milliner and ladies’ outfitter. The building was badly gutted and practically t’nc whole of her stocks was destroyed. Good work on the part of the Eire Brigade prevented the fire breaking through into a, men’s outfitting shop next door occupied by Air Chai lc> Wagliorue. The fire was caused through an electric heater left with the, current on all night. It burned a. bole through the flooring. The building was owned by Mrs A. T Watson, of Hamilton. Airs How den’s stock and fittings Were insured for £450.
