CA NTERRUHY REPORT (Per Press Association). Christchurch,' Sept. 6. Tho potato market Iracj relapsed further since mid-week. On Tuesday afternoon September deliveries were quoted at £7 15s a ton, f.o.b. s.i.; this figure gradually cased, and yesterday there was a fair demand at £7. To-day, however, sellers at this figure were not so numerous, and there was slight hardening to an. extent scarcely quotable. Current values may be mentioned at from £7 to £7 2s per ton f.o.b. s.i. Quotations to farmers are £6 on trucks. At (his figure there has been a little selling, but (ho general inclination among growers is to Hold off the marketAmong f l»e other products oafs maintain a fair degree of firmness. B Cartons are in very short supply, and have been sold, at 3s 7d f.o.b. Lyttelton.- Algerians are worth 3i 9d t° 3s 9Jd, and they .arc also hard to get,/ There is no change in the milling or fowl feed, wheat market. The higl'j standard of small seeds values is restricting business to some extent, flic exception, being rye grass. Fair retail business is going on in both varieties, perennial being quoted, at Os 9d to Vs f.o.b. s.i., and Italian from s's 9d to 6s. There, is not much doing in cowgrass or white clover, mid values remain as previously quoted.
