Cblqulmun and F. D. Maekie. A letter was revived from the Old Boys’ Club advit-vng that it was experiencing considerable difficulty in obtaining a junior team lor Saturday and as a. result of sickness, injuries and other reasons, would bo compelled to call upon not los& than four third grade players in order to raise, a. lil'teen. Five of the club’s players had been selected to participate in the third grade representative match againj, t Wellington on Saturday and tlie club wished to inquire whether the council would release two players from service to the representative team and allow the club to make arrangements for tlie other two third grade players who would in all probability, bo required.—l t wuj j decided to leave the matter in the hands of Mir It. E, Hatch and the secretary ol the Old Boys’ club. Foi filing Old Boys’ Club wrote stating that it would Ik> unable, to field the senior aind junior teams it had entered in the \,udden death competition, and requesting that, under the circumstances, it, bp allowed to cancel the entries.—The letter was received, the secretajy stating that, the committee had arranged the draw accordingly. Manawatu third grade representative; will meet Wellington fourth grade representatives at 1.30 p.m. on the oval at the Palmerston North Showgrounds. Air A. Gordon will referee.
