LEFT TO MEET LEGACIES CASE UNDER FAMILY PROTECTION ACT Proceedings under tue Family Pro. teete : on Act in tho estate oi John Davison, a farmer of Christchurch, reecnt.lv deceased were heard beforo Mr Justice Adams in the Supremo Court. Tho plaintiffs were Hugh Davison, Ethel Moyle, and William Davison, who claimed that they received insufficient support under the will of their father. Mr Sim appeared for nil overseas beneficiaries with tlie exception of the Knockmimucklcy Anglican Church Ireland. Tho estate, which was originally assessed at £14.22, bad been somewhat diminished upon realisation, so that after allowing for the. dwelling and furniture given to the widow, the sum of £672$ remained to satisfy legacies to a total amount of £lO,400. His Honour heard extensive legal argument during the morning and then intimated that he would take time to consider fiis judgment.
