AUSTRALIA’S STRIKE
TIIE PARTIES CONFER NO CUE EM ENT YET. (Aust. and N.Z. Cable). Sydney, April 25. A meeting of the Marine Cooks’ Union discussed the dispute with the Ilmldart-Parker Company, but failed to reach a decision that would bring about a settlement, and the ships remain'idle. The secretary of tlie Union stated that tiie Union was not officially taking part in the dispute, but lie was watching the interests of the men concerned. lie added that the (lisput was not inter-State in character and consequently was outside the scope of the Federal Arbitration Court.,
Further notion will depend on the decision of the Court ou Friday next.
