The Soviet announces that the registered unemployed totalled 1,303,000 last year, compared’ with 318,000 in 1921. It admits that the possibilities of absorption are decreasing, and unemployment is at present increasing owimr to the reduction ol Slate employees o\t Lite ground of economy'. Tlieiv Do Hi coal, trusts output during the past six months is expected to be forty-two million poods- below the estimate, owing to the shortage of electericity, the unsatisfactory credil and the belated supply V\f equipment also the shortage of qualified workers.
