London, Sept. 11. 'I he newspaper Observer reports that a hopelessly maimed man, Patrick O’Malley, aged -32, of Curraghmore ,Ireland, wandered into the Brighton Police Station. He said he had been a first class petty officer on board the Queen Alary at the Jutland battle. His 'family -were inotified that, lie was killed in action,. but two days after tlio battle he was picked up lashed to a. mess table, raving mad. ■ The Germans confined him for 10 ■years in an asylum at Wilhelmshaven where lie was given, one meal daily. He had no amusements and was, not allowed to write home. Gradually he became sane and was repatriated borne a. Tew weeks ago. Ho arrived t-a Tilbury, having 'paid Ids fare with £2 given him in German V. ■ :! -, ' V He has a cork leg and crutches, both made in Germany. His left leg is missing below the thigh and his right below the knee- Both arms are paralysed and he has a silver plate replacing his jaw. * Q UITE ANOTH E R STORY. Later.
