The well known New Zealand champion distance runner, Randolph Rose, has given up farming and is at present living in Wellington. His future movements, however, are not yet definite.

Knight, rector and chaplain of St. Saviour’s Orphanage, TimarUj lias accepted the position of principal of St. Barnabas’s Theological College, Adelaide, rendered vacant, by the departure of the Rev. P. Carrington. Mr A. Dudley Dobson, who is one of the Canterbury Pilgrims, having been, nine years of age when lie arrived with his parents in the Cmssy, one of the first, four ships, and who was city engineer of Christchurch for many years, last week celebrated his 86th birthday.
