PINNED BENEATH CAR.
FARMERS’ NARROW ESCAPE

Ale W"llium Murrhie, a dairy farmer, of had a narrow escape from serious injury yesterday, when his car overturned, pinning him underneath it.
Mr Murclue was attending to the afternoon milking, and, owing to a breakdown in the plant travelled to Carterton to procure a new part for the machine. Anxious to resume milking as soon as possible Mr Murehio speeded up the ear on the return journey, and when torm-.p; a corner from the main MastcrtonCar ter toil road into Norfolk rona, nis ear skidded hi so mo loose metal and capsized. Air Murehie was thrown out and was pinned beneath the ear, where he remained until a passing motorist extricated him. His injuries necessitated his removal to,the -Masterlon hospital, but bis condition is not regarded as serious.
