FEILDING STOCK SALE
DECIDED lIMPROVEMENT A decided improvement on late rates was shown at the Redding stock sale to-day. A large attendance of buyers interested in all sections was in evidence, and the tone of the market generally was good, auguring well lor the rest of the stock not sold at time of going to press. In the sheep section, a fair yarding of lat lambs came forward, and sold in advance of late rates. Of the balance of the fat pens, there was a good entry, including some fine wether lots, for which there was keen competition.
A pen of extra heavy wethers realised 465, quotations lor lighter prime sorts ranging from 37s 3d to 40s. The general yarding, principally lambs of .medium to poorer (piality, selling at prices accordiuglv, also comprised a number of pens of good breeding ewes. fn the cattle section, a good allround entry came forward, which included a number of pens of good dairy cows, numerous lots of heifers and a good line of prime fat beasts . The tone was good. Dairy cows sold to TO and heifers 1,0 £5 2s Cd.
Following were the prices recorded : Fat lambs, 26s 9d, 275, 28s (id, 31s to 36s Id; fat. ewes, 28s 30s, 31s 6d, 33s 6d to 34s fid; fat wot hors, 37s 3d. 38s fid, 40s to 465.
