REEFTON MINERS' AWARD.
PAYMENT FOB SATURDAY HALF-HOLIDAY.

The Reefton -Mining Companies have entered into an industrial award for one year with the Miners' Union on the same teinis as the last award. with the further concession granted the men of six hours' pay for the lour hours constituting the Saturday shift. The terms oi the new agreement wore submitted to the Waiuta and Rig River branches, and has been accepted. It will now lie signed forthwith, Mr Pagan, general secrcInrv. states the concession has been received with general satisfaction by the niinors, it being a recognition by the employers of the principle of payment tor the Saturday half-holiday. Rcelton is the lir.-t miners' iinion in tlie Dominion to gain recognition of the Saturday half-holiday.
