Sadi Lceoinle, had a miraculous escape when his car turned turtle and both he and his mechanic wen', thrown out on the rocks. Both were unhurt, though the car was entirely wrecked. Nine cars, all of French make, werp started bv M. Le Trocquer, .Minister for Public Works.

The race was one,of three laps of a circuit of 117 kilometres (92 miles), thp whole of which was entirely guarded by troops and gendarmerie. It resulted in Guyot covering the distance in (i hours 7 minutes 51 seconds, being an. average of 73 kilometres an hour. His best lap was made in 1 hour 57 minutes 23 seconds.
