Dunediii, September 4. Private advices from Australia .state that the position in New South Wales is satisfactory so far as railway and Sydney tram services are concerned, and that these services are being run with gradually increasing regularity.

The advice also states that the strike is inclined to spread in greater degree in Queensland and Victoria.
