, Writing to the Dominion, Mr. John Dawson takes (from the records some figures which throw Palmerston into undesirable prominence. Indeed, Palmerston North alone, with a population of 16,135, has 408 convictions, or 60 more than all the eight No-license electorates with a population of 101,246.
