THE GERMANS SUB RENDER TSINGTAO. Tokio, November 7.
Offioial.—Tsingtao has surrendered. Official.—Japan administers 'Esing-t-ao till the conclusion of the war, when she negotiates with China. Tho first line of forts and dangerous defence works wero captured with the bayonet. The Germans made desperate efforts to repair - the damaged batteries, but the Japanese shells killed the men at work and finally demolished the batteries. During the last two daye the warships showered a terrific hail of shells on the fortress and the city, and did tremendous damage. They also blow up Taischen fort. Thirty-six Japanese were killed and 182 wounded in tho final action. The German garrison were reduced [q dire straits. Bread cost Is a loaf. It ia believed the stopping of smuggling of provisions from Linchau hastened capitulation.
Feking, November "■ Official.—The left wing occupied the batteries of Shaolonhill and Tahungching, and the central force captured two heavy guns in the vicinity of t hemain forts and then occupied the Yon Molt-ke, litis, and Bismarck torts iv euccession, whereupon the white flag was hoisted. Over 800 of the garrison were captured.
