MARY PICKFORD AT THE LYCEUM.

Mary Pickford, tho most charming and popular of cinema actresses, is to appear at the Lyceum to-night and to-morrow in an entirely new role in | 'Hearts Adrift," a tragic epic 4500 ft in length. The story tells how Nina (Mary Pickford).'a little Spanish girl, is the sole survivor of a shipwreck, which occurs just off one of tlie South Sea Islands. Clinging desperately to tho spar of the ship, Nina, half conscious, is tossed by the waves upon the beach of this island. Some years later a wealthy couple, tho Grahams, who are travelling for health and pleasure on their yacht, are also shipwrecked on this island. Husband and wife are separated, and each fears tho other has been lost. Mrs Graham is put into a boat and her rescue effected, but her husband, like Nina, is washed ashore on tho desolate island. Nina discovers his body on the beach, hardly knows what the strange creature is, and seeing him move, timidly runs away. The sequel is unique and delightful. The supporting items aro excellent, and include a splendid number of the popular Gauniont Graphic, and the usual comedies and scenics.
