Summary.—The weather has been cloudy and misty, with much fog and drizzle in many parts, especially in the South Island. The atmospheric pressure has decreased everywhere, and easterly breezes have ruled. .Forecast. —Present indications arc for increasing easterly to northerly winds; weather dull and overcast, Avith considerable rain following, especially in tho South island, the barometer falling everywhere. The conditions during the "remainder of the week Avill probably be generally unsettled and cold and stormy at tho close. TO-DAY'S FORECAST. The Government Meteorologist telegraphed to-day: — Winds. — Freshening northerly, strong .wind,, to gale tor storm, appear to be approaching from the west. The weather will probably be dull and overcast. JToavy rain is to bo expected, with rivers flooded. Barometer falling.
