Melbourne, November 28. In the inter-State match Victoria y. South Australia, the latter's first innings produced 243. Victoria in the first innings made 614—Armstrong 76, Matthews 42, Hazlitt 77, Kenny 73, Layer not out 17 being the chief scorers. South Australia in the second innings has lost four wickets for 138— Mayne 7, Clem Hill 35, Gehrs 25, Crawford not out 13 being the scorers. The Victorian innings lasted eight and a half hours and completely collared the bowling. By consistent and brilliant batting Hazlitt and Kenny for the ninth wicket added 143.
