PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. Rome, March 24. M-t. Etna is in eruption. The craters arc now throwiv- out lava, which threatens several villages. The lava from four craters joined and made a stream 1500 feet' wide and 12 feet deep, and is descending at the rate of half a mile hourly. The lava has destroyed the villages <>i' Capiolo and Barello and is threatening Belpasso.

The inhabitants are placing sacred relics in front of their houses.

Twenty-three shocks were -registered at Mt. Etna observatory in eight hours.
