COMMISSION.
ALLEGATIONS AGAINST A HIGH
OFFICER
The Government has appointed a Commission of Inquiry under the Civil Service Act to ineffrire .nto cerfcan charges which have been made against Mr Peter Heyes (Commissioner of Taxes and Superintendent of the Advances to Settlers Office) in regard to his adminisibration of the Land and Income-Tax and Valuation Departments. The Commission will consist of Dr Fdtcihett, Mr J. W. Salmond, and Mr F. G. B. Waldegrave.
