Two factors have arisen suddenly making for peace in the Balkans, where war was threatened between Austria and Servia owing" to their inability to agree on the formula to bo submitted to the conference of tinPowers on the Balkan question. The Crown Prince of Servia' s sudden renunciation of the Crown in favour of his younger brother aud his probable voluntary exile for a year. H(& -wrote to the. Premie inthnattrrgn&liat his decision was due to unjust insinuations based upon an unfortunate occurrence. The occurrence mentioned related to the death in the State Hospital of one of his grooms. The Crown Prince is openly accused of himicido through kicking the groom in the stomach.
