The quarterly meeting of the Licensing Bench was held this afternoon. There were present. Messrs A. D. Thomson (chairman), A. Richmond, W. Carthew, and E. Goodbehere. The -only business before the Bench was an application from Mrs E. Kennedy for % transfer of the license of the Feilding Hotel to Mr Timothy O'Neill. The application was granted. New goods for the autumn and winter season are now being opened up daily at the Bon Marohe. By the end of the week Messrs Spence and Spence will have a. magnificent showing ready for sale, including the correct modes in millinery, coats, skirts, and furs — : all imported direct from the Home Imaarhmi.
