BLAND HOLT'S RETURN.
A four-nights' season of melodrama will be inaugurated by Mr Bland Holt at the Opera House, Palmerston North, on Monday evening next. This popular aotor-mana-ger has not visited the Manawatu for a considerable time, owing to the accommodation of the existing theatre not being adequate for the proper presentation of his plays, in which spectacular effect is on a scale worthy of the world's metropolis. The splendid stage at tho Opera House will enable Mr Holt to produce his plays with all^ their wealth of scenic grandeui_ which has made his name a household word all over Austialasia. "The Great Millionaire" a Drury Lane drama, is the first attraction, aud will be staged for two nights (Monday and Tuesday); "The White Her. ther," another popular Drury Lane Play, on Wednesday; and for the Inst night (Thursday) the successful Australian melodrama, "The Breaking of the Drought," haa been reaevred.
