The police, tried -to arrest a suspected Anarchist, who barricaded the second storey of <a villa at Moscow. . The suspect, drawing a revolver, shot and killed the superintendent of the gendarmerie and badly wounded the second officer. The Anarchist kept the police at bay for eeveral hours, and wounded Colonel Kotten, chief of the Moscow Detective Department, another officer, and a policeman. He finally committed suicide.
