Mr Theodore Clark, a director ol the Marcus Clark Company, fell dowr the well of an electric lift, and wa. killed. THE DESTRUCTIVE FLAMES. .Rain has checked the fires at Gundagai. At Corowa the fire swept an area of twenty by seven miles. Many settlers' crops were destroyed. The fires did much damage in the Albury and Germanton districts. THE END OF THE SESSION Brisbane, December 23. The session of Parliament has ended, after passing the Loan Appropriation Bills.
