I hoar, on good authority, that a section on Table Flat, under the l.i.p. tenure, has changed hands at £7 per acre— and that just after being swept by the fires. I think that shows how people are beginning to find out the value of Table Flat land. The school children's picnic is to be held on Wednesday, and, given a fine day, it will be well patronised. The fires are all out. Farmers are busy sowing and fencing, and there is plenty of the latter to do.
